Scripture Mate publishes Bible reading guides, verse explanations, topical collections, and devotions for everyday readers. A Scripture Mate byline identifies the publisher; it is not a claim that a separate panel of theologians wrote or approved the page.

AI tools have been used to draft and expand content in this library, including verse explanations, topic pages, and devotions. They help organize material and suggest explanations and study questions. They can also make factual or interpretive mistakes; fluent prose is not evidence that an explanation is correct.

Do not assume that a page has had an individual human theological review unless it carries an explicit review credit. We reserve “Reviewed by” credits for a person who has actually read and approved that specific version of the article. Publication dates, software tests, and publisher bylines are not substitutes for that review.

AI-generated explanations are study aids, not Scripture, divine revelation, or a replacement for a church community or a trusted pastor. Read the passage itself and bring difficult questions to people you trust.

Our verse explanations use the World English Bible as their base text. The Bible reader identifies the selected translation. When comparing wording from another translation, the translation should be named; differences in wording should not be presented as new verses.

Our editorial standard is to distinguish direct quotations from paraphrases, interpretation, and personal application. Read the surrounding passage, notice who is speaking and to whom, and consider the literary form before applying a verse to your own situation.

Christians sometimes interpret passages differently. Where an interpretation is disputed, our aim is to describe it as an interpretation rather than imply that all Christian traditions agree. A devotional application should not turn a promise to a particular biblical audience into a guarantee of personal health, wealth, or success.

We aim to offer original explanations and practical study resources, not reproduce another publisher’s articles. Scripture quotations and outside sources should be attributed appropriately. If you believe your work has been used improperly, send the page URL and the source so the issue can be investigated.

Scripture Mate also publishes information about its own app. We have an interest in that product, so our app comparisons should not be treated as independent assessments. Product claims should be supported by current evidence; a feature list should not imply hands-on testing that has not taken place.

To request a correction, include the page URL, the sentence or verse reference in question, your proposed correction, and a source where possible. Please distinguish a factual or quotation error from a difference in theological interpretation so the concern can be assessed clearly.

When we substantively revise a resource, its update date should reflect that change. We do not treat a cosmetic edit or a new date as a fresh theological review. A review credit must apply to the content currently published, not merely to an earlier draft.
