Today’s Bible Verse — Psalm 84:11
“For the LORD God is a sun and a shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.”
“For the LORD God is a sun and a shield;the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thingfrom those who walk with integrity.”
BSB
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
KJV
Today’s Thought
A sun and a shield: warmth and protection from the same source. And the closing promise cuts deeper than it first appears — if God has withheld something, then either it wasn’t good, or it isn’t time.
A Prayer for Today
Lord, be my sun as the days grow colder and my shield where I am exposed. I trust you for what you give and for what you withhold. Amen.
